3. Quotations

3.1 Quote Validity

All quotations are valid for fourteen (14) calendar days unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Price Changes

Prices may change without notice after the quotation validity period due to:

  • Supplier price increases
  • Material cost increases
  • Exchange rate fluctuations
  • Transport cost increases
  • Changes in specifications

3.3 Errors and Omissions

Perfect DIY Cupboards reserves the right to correct any pricing, specification, calculation, typographical or administrative errors.

4. Orders and Acceptance

An order is only deemed accepted once:

  • The quotation has been approved;
  • Specifications have been confirmed;
  • Required measurements have been supplied;
  • Payment terms have been satisfied.

Perfect DIY Cupboards reserves the right to refuse any order at its discretion.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Standard Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all orders are payable 100% upfront before production, procurement or processing begins.

No manufacturing, cutting, edging, drilling, assembly, procurement or processing will commence until payment has been received and cleared.

5.2 Alternative Payment Arrangements

Alternative payment arrangements may be approved in writing for specific projects. These may include:

  • Deposit and balance payments
  • Progress payments
  • Trade accounts
  • Contractor accounts
  • Project-specific payment schedules

Such arrangements apply only to the specific project for which they were approved.

5.3 Outstanding Amounts

Perfect DIY Cupboards may suspend production, refuse delivery, refuse collection, or suspend warranty claims until all outstanding amounts have been settled.

5.4 Ownership

All products remain the property of Perfect DIY Cupboards until paid for in full.

6. Designs and Measurements

6.1 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for verifying measurements, layouts, unit quantities, appliance sizes, door swings, colours, hardware selections and specifications before approving any design or quotation.

6.2 Third Party Measurements

Where measurements are supplied by customers, installers, builders, architects, designers or contractors, Perfect DIY Cupboards accepts no liability for errors arising from those measurements.

6.3 Design Approval

Approval of a design constitutes acceptance that all details are correct. Once approved, production will proceed accordingly.

7. Manufacturing Standards

Perfect DIY Cupboards manufactures cabinetry using industry-standard materials and methods. Typical specifications may include:

  • PG Bison and Sonae decorative boards
  • White melamine carcasses
  • 1mm edging
  • Blum hinges
  • Ball bearing runners
  • Optional soft-close hardware
  • Optional Tipmatic hardware

Specifications may vary according to the quotation and product selected.

Perfect DIY Cupboards manufactures cabinetry to a tolerance of within one (1) millimetre unless otherwise agreed in writing on the quotation.

8. Board Products and Natural Variations

Perfect DIY Cupboards uses decorative boards manufactured by suppliers including PG Bison and Sonae Arauco.

The following characteristics are normal and shall not be considered defects:

  • Colour variations
  • Grain variations
  • Texture variations
  • Surface pattern variations
  • Batch variations
  • Sheet-to-sheet variations
  • Slight dimensional variations
  • Manufacturing tolerances

Samples, photographs, showroom displays and website images are intended as guides only. Exact matching between batches cannot be guaranteed. Natural variations between products supplied at different times may occur.

9. Moisture and Environmental Conditions

Cabinetry products are manufactured from engineered wood products. Customers acknowledge that excessive exposure to water, steam, moisture, leaking plumbing, flooding, outdoor weather conditions or excessive humidity may result in swelling, delamination, warping, discoloration or deterioration.

Such damage is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered under warranty.

Perfect DIY Cupboards also offers PVC foam board cabinetry, which is essentially waterproof. Where PVC foam board is selected, customers must upgrade to stainless steel hardware suitable for wet or high-moisture environments. Even with such upgrades, genuine Blum hinges are excluded from warranty coverage in these applications as they may oxidize, as may any standard steel hardware.

We also offer a water-resistant MDF product; this option is available in black only. Water-resistant MDF improves moisture tolerance compared with standard board products but does not provide the same level of protection as PVC foam board and remains subject to the environmental limitations described above.

10. Lead Times

Lead times are estimates only. Production schedules may be affected by material availability, supplier delays, public holidays, equipment breakdowns, power interruptions, transport disruptions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Lead times commence only after final approval, receipt of payment and receipt of all required information.

10.1 Standard Lead Time

Unless otherwise stated on the quotation, standard cupboard and cabinetry lead time is up to twenty (20) working days (approximately four weeks) from order acceptance.

10.2 Stone Tops and Installation

Stone tops are manufactured separately and require an additional lead time of up to ten (10) working days after notification that cupboards have been delivered or collected, or after installation of the cupboards has been completed, whichever applies to the order.

Where the customer installs the cupboards themselves, all cupboards must be properly installed and fully supported, including any required brackets, cleats or other supports, before stone templating, fabrication or installation may proceed. Stone cannot be installed on cupboards that are incomplete, unstable or incorrectly fitted.

If the stone installer arrives on site and determines that the cupboard installation is not suitable to support the stone tops, the installer will not level, adjust or install the cupboards, as stone installers are not qualified to perform cabinetry installation. The installer may refuse to fit the stone and require that the cupboards be rectified at the customer's discretion before installation can proceed. If the installer must leave site and return on a separate visit, an additional delivery or call-out charge may apply.

To commence the stone order, the customer may either supply exact final measurements or request that a Perfect DIY Cupboards representative attend site to take measurements. The stone lead time commences only once measurements have been confirmed, signed off and the stone portion of the order has been paid in full.

Where stone is to be supplied together with cupboard delivery or collection, the customer must supply exact final measurements in advance. Perfect DIY Cupboards accepts no liability for incorrect measurements supplied by the customer or any third party. Measurements must be signed off by both the Perfect DIY Cupboards representative and the customer before the stone order is placed.

Where one of our recommended installers has fitted the cupboards, that installer will supply the final measurements to Perfect DIY Cupboards for stone processing. Perfect DIY Cupboards accepts no liability for measurement or installation errors arising from work performed by independent installers.

10.3 Glass, Wrap Doors and Custom Items

Glass panels, wrap doors and other custom items may add up to fourteen (14) additional working days to the standard lead time, depending on specification and supplier availability.

Perfect DIY Cupboards shall not be liable for losses arising from delays.

11. Delivery and Collection

11.1 Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates only. The customer must ensure safe site access, a suitable unloading area and someone authorised to receive the goods.

11.2 Inspection

Products must be inspected immediately upon collection or delivery. Any shortages, visible defects or damages must be reported within 48 hours.

11.3 Risk

Risk passes to the customer upon collection or completion of delivery.

12. Storage

Customers will be notified when products are ready for collection or delivery.

Products not collected within fourteen (14) calendar days may incur storage charges.

Products not collected within thirty (30) days may be disposed of or sold to recover storage, administration and handling costs, subject to applicable law.

13. Installation

Perfect DIY Cupboards may recommend independent installers. Recommended installers are independent contractors and are not employees, agents or representatives of Perfect DIY Cupboards.

Perfect DIY Cupboards shall not be liable for installation workmanship, site damage, incorrect installation, structural defects, plumbing defects, electrical defects or building movement.

14. Returns, Credits and Cancellations

14.1 No Refund Policy

Perfect DIY Cupboards operates a strict no-refund policy for all products manufactured, ordered, processed or supplied specifically for a customer.

14.2 Custom Products

Custom products cannot be returned, refunded, exchanged or credited. This includes custom cupboards, custom panels, custom doors, countertops, modified products, cut-to-size products and special-order products.

14.3 Standard Products

Unused standard products may, at the sole discretion of Perfect DIY Cupboards, be accepted for store credit subject to the following conditions:

  • Returned within 7 days
  • Original packaging intact
  • No damage
  • No signs of use

No cash refunds shall be issued. Approved returns shall be processed as store credit only.

14.4 Cancellation

Orders may not be cancelled once materials have been ordered, production has been scheduled or manufacturing has commenced. Payments made toward such orders are non-refundable.
